Jennifer Lopez: She gets prestigious prize for her style
Great honor for Jennifer Lopez (49, "Manhattan Queen"): The US-American singer and actress will receive the coveted CFDA Fashion Icon Award and can officially call herself a fashion icon. She receives the award "for her long-term and global influence on fashion," as reported in an Instagram post by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). "Jennifer uses fashion as a way to express self-confidence and strength," says CFDA Chairman Diane von Furstenberg (72). Both fans and designers are always looking forward to their next look.
Lopez is known for performing in spectacular outfits again and again. This is also acknowledged by the CFDA, whose president Steven Kolb says her style is "courageous, uninhibited and always unforgettable". Designers love to dress J.Lo for public as well as private occasions, Kolb continues. The ceremony of the CFDA Fashion Awards will take place on 3 June 2019 in New York.
