Game of Thrones - Prequel: "Sleepy Hollow" star Miranda Richardson joins the cast

After Naomi Watts (50), the next well-known actress for the upcoming "Game of Thrones" spin-off has been found. So the British Miranda Richardson (61) will also be seen from the pilot episode and probably beyond, among other things, the US side "Variety". The 61-year-olds know cineastes mostly from Tim Burton's (60) gruesome movie "Sleepy Hollow" starring Johnny Depp (55), younger semester she's a sensation reporter Rita Kimmkorn in some of the "Harry Potter" parts a term.

In her long career Richardson has already earned some prestigious awards. For "Enchanted April" and the TV movie "Fatherland" there was a Golden Globe, from seven BAFTA nominations she could win at least one. In addition, the Southport-born Englishwoman was twice for an Oscar in the race ("Doom" and "Tom & Viv"). Now, according to the report, it complements the cast of Watts and the previously quoted names Josh Whitehouse (29), Naomi Ackie (27) and Denise Gough (39).

The offshoot is also in the Westeros universe play, but several thousand years before the events of "Game of Thrones". As in the original series, many scenes and characters will be the focus of the plot. In addition, the "Age of Heroes" mentioned by Martin in his book "The Song of Ice and Fire" should be shown, which, according to the novel, took place 10,000 years before Jon Snow and Co. So it's quite possible that fans will see with their own eyes how the Night Watch Wall was built or how House Stark and House Lennister were founded.

When may be expected with the spin-off, is not yet clear. At first, all fan eyes are focused on the coming month anyway - as of April 14 runs in this country at Sky, the final season of the HBO series.
