Office on the 29th floor? The smoking break may take a while
The Japanese marketing company has its rooms on the 29th floor of an office building. Smokers need at least ten minutes to investigate their truck, quotes the "FAZ" a spokesman. An employee of the medium-sized company complained about this. In September, the company then introduced the new reward system.
Anyone who refrains from smoking for a whole year will receive six days more than their smoking colleagues. Four employees have already given up their vice since the launch, the report said. In total, "Piala" employs 120 people. According to reports, 28 percent of men smoke in Japan and nine percent of women.
Maybe the action also inspires companies in this country? In any case, it would be worthwhile for so many. According to a worldwide tobacco study published in 2017, every fourth man and every fifth woman in Germany smokes. With 16.3 million, Germany is among the top ten states with the most smokers.
