Gently heal with Jin Shin Jyutsu

Dull headache after a long day at work? Sit on the sofa. Tighten your legs, hold your little toes. Ten minutes later, you are doing much better. Spinning? No - Jin Shin Jyutsu. This millennia-old healing art, which is treated exclusively with the hands, helps with such different ailments as back pain, mental crises and sleep disorders.

The treatment is based on the idea that there are 26 zones on the body called "safety energy locks" (all duplicate). If the stress persists, these locks will snap. It creates energy blockades and as a result of it Discomfort such as tension, pain, depression - According to the understanding of the Jin Shin Jyutsu warning signals, which give us the chance to counter in time.

The "streaming", so the expression for the treatment, is to unlock the security locks, bring energies back into flux and give us fresh strength. After the preliminary talk, the Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner first looks at the body (lying on his back) and registers visible signs of imbalance and tension, such as hunched shoulders. Then he grasps the wrists to feel the "pulses". This means in the Jin Shin Jyutsu the energy flow within the different cycles ("organ currents"). After that, he decides which power he is using and keeps each of these safety energy locks for a few minutes. Overall, the treatment takes about an hour.

Intensive "streaming"

Jin Shin Jyutsu does not promise any miraculous healings and it should not be a substitute for medical therapies. But it helps. Current complaints (eg tension) are often blown away by a practitioner after the first "streaming". For chronic conditions (eg migraine, hay fever) the effect lasts up to 24 hours.

Ten appointments at intervals of a few days each can bring lasting relief, if the affected person otherwise do something for themselves, for example, change their diet. Even with ongoing grief, grief or in a life crisis, the treatment can bring healing processes of change "in flow" and support. And many just do it to feel good.

The streaming can be so intense that you have to lie down after the treatment; Alcohol may work harder hours later than usual.

Above all, Jin Shin Jyutsu is supposed to be help for self-help. Therefore, practitioners encourage their patients to "flow" themselves. This is not a problem, because unlike acupressure, it's not about pinpointing specific points. Somewhere in an area of about seven centimeters fingers or hang up your hand - that's all. But for up to ten minutes to do nothing more than, for example, to hold the middle finger of one hand, some initially difficult.

Later, the self-treatment also works by the way, for example when watching TV. By the way: many of us "flow" themselves without knowing it. If you lean your forehead in your hand while thinking about it, you will be touched by the security energy lock number 20, which calms the mind and strengthens the intuition ...

To try: relax immediately

The central stream (see drawing) is in Jin Shin Jyutsu as a source of life. He relaxes immediately, so many use him as a sleep aid. With regular treatment, this current brings physical and mental balance and can relieve chronic discomfort.

That's how it works: Start with about three minutes for each of the following positions. With some experience you will then feel yourself when it is time to change position. You can also distribute the exercise in several sections throughout the day or omit positions.

  1. Place one or more fingers or the palm of your right hand in the middle of your head and leave it there until you have gone through all the points.
  2. Place one or more fingers or the palm of your left hand between your eyebrows.
  3. Place one or more fingers of the left hand on the tip of the nose.
  4. Place the left hand (s) on the breastbone between the breasts.
  5. Place the left-hand finger (s) on the bottom of the sternum (pit of the stomach).
  6. Place the left hand (s) on the pubis.
  7. Leave the left hand on the pubic bone and finally place the right palm (or the back of the hand) on the tailbone.
