Dessous: "Red top is still the best"

Lingerie saleswoman Beatrice Kietzmann

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: Beautiful Dekolletees there on the laundry poster - great, if such a bosom sits as it should. Unfortunately, he does not always do normal women with us. , ,

Beatrice Kietzmann: In the meantime, women are also looking more and more closely at breasts. Of course, they are particularly critical of their own. There are two main types of problems: the rather stocky, wide customers, who have very little - and the long thinness with lots of bosoms. The flat, thicker woman, the 95-A model, so to speak, has a hard time, because the lingerie companies hardly develop beautiful models for them. For the skinny one finds something more: Under the chest it starts with 65, and the cups go up to the J or K cup. I once had a female customer in her mid-twenties who was 70 years old. She suffered terribly.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: Sounds like flesh-grown male fantasy. , ,

Beatrice Kietzmann: Some women think so, but so many men do not even care about big breasts. Sure, they look good when they are walking around with big breasts and nice cleavage, big boobs just stand out more. But as far as the alleged dream buffoons are concerned, big bosoms are really heavy and therefore more likely to hang if they are natural. Only silicone breasts are like a one.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: But a bra can make a lot of bosom?

Beatrice Kietzmann: The right bra, yes. Unfortunately, every third woman carries the wrong size. For example, the bra is slacking between the shoulder blades. The rule of thumb for measuring under the breasts and then in the middle of the breast is not correct either - if you measure under the bosom, let's say, 80 and on the bosom the centimeters, just for an A-cup That does not mean that the woman has to wear the size 80 A.

The subband is supposed to hold the bosom where it belongs, so that may not just sit limp on the skin, so that the closure on the back somewhere up there - so you would have to deduct a few inches from the measured 80 in any case , And the whole breast is supposed to go into the little basket, so also that which is still below the point at which one has measured. This is where an A basket quickly turns into a B cup, unless the woman is very young or undergoing surgery. The size also changes, you have to check it again and again - most women go in the course of their life in the width.

On the next page: But no drastic carriers!

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: And then squeeze into too tight brassiere?

Beatrice Kietzmann: Even with young women, I often see this cowl through the straps on the shoulders, which comes from the fact that the bosom is not properly supported by the lower band of the bra. But some women do not want to know their size so well, they would rather believe that they have 75 than 80 or a B cup instead of C.

Of course I have to measure under the breast, but I usually recognize the cup size even under the jacket; I then just hand customers a matching bra into the cabin. A customer took it, put it on, saw that it was a perfect fit, and then looked at the size. "I've never worn them," she said - and she was gone without buying him. The right size is so important; what I sometimes see when I'm on the beach in summer or under tops in the city, horrible.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: You have just handed a customer to the corsage for a few porters - does not keep the bosom by itself?

Beatrice Kietzmann: That's right, but the lady was a bit obese, so in case of doubt, the straps pull the bosom a bit upwards - smoothing out the small bacon rolls automatically. Incidentally, more than once, I had a howling bride, who in a rather obese figure had spiked her into a strapless dream dress that was so tight that she could not possibly wear a bra underneath.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: In your job it's all about preservation. Are you often the soul comforter?

Beatrice Kietzmann: You can say that. Sometimes I think I could almost put a piggy bank next to the cash register - for tips on psychological counseling. No, but seriously: For many women, with every piece of clothing they take off, they reveal a bit more of their souls. Many also come with marital problems and then there are some who have just had a separation behind them. They were never in a lingerie shop and now want to buy something out of frustration. Not least because they think: I have to go back to the open field, to the market so to speak.

The other day a very young mother came, who was heartbroken, because her breast from breastfeeding had become so small and something was hanging. The said: Tonight I go out with my husband for the first time in eight months, because I want to look pretty, but that's probably over now, right? When she went out again, she had bought four bras. A little something with a gel insert, you do not need an operation to pad something in the right places. And she beamed: "Class, I'm looking forward to tonight!"

On the next page: "North German women are relatively prudish"

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: But some women actually operate. , ,

Beatrice Kietzmann: Of course, I am also pretty sure that I can distinguish a natural from an operated breast. When the women are first in the locker room, they mostly talk about it openly. Is also completely fine.

One of my clients has also been able to use silicone pillows, which has become a completely different person. I have accompanied her through her whole history with her bosom problem: from her desperation, because she did not find beautiful bikinis, from her depression to surgery - and the satisfaction that she then radiated afterwards.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: Is the German woman with her bosom more self-confident or bashful?

Beatrice Kietzmann: I see everything here. There are women who look for the sweaters that I offer in front, and in the end they buy totally extravagant, erotic lingerie. Some are also shy because they do not like their breasts.

Others are looking for what I always call "checkered lilies of the valley" - something they have seen on television, but that does not exist. In some cases we have already made one of two bras. Most customers I can divide into two camps: those without children and those whose children are almost grown-up, who are now thinking of themselves again. The young mothers with children rather neglect, I often have the impression.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: Do most women want to show what they have or do they want to hide their breasts?

Beatrice Kietzmann: The North German women are relatively prudish, I have found - they are looking for something simple in white or cream and just no tip. The further south they come, the more colorful they want it. They are also happy about the refined details. In France or Italy it has always been this way: The bra does not have to sit doll, the main thing, he is super-chic.

On the next page: If the bra sits well, it changes the posture

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: Will Men Pass By?

Beatrice Kietzmann: Mostly with her women. Then the ladies often resort to something inconspicuous, and the gentlemen would like to be more erotic. Red top is still the best.

I've got a couple of customers, so he always buys something sharp before Christmas, and she always comes in early January to exchange it again. A customer once gave me a beautiful lace body on the bar and said: "He should have given me a book better!" I think it's a pity. Is not good for the marriage. A man thanked me by the way. , ,

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: You sold him a bra?

Beatrice Kietzmann: No, but his wife. She was in her mid-50s and never in a lingerie shop. She took two sets with her, and after two weeks, her husband stated, she was completely different: straight-backed and self-confident. She had changed completely, had filed everything miserable.

I say anyway: If the bra sits well, that changes the posture. That's where you go - and that makes you slim, by the way. By the way, women with a big belly often make the mistake of thinking that their breasts should not stand out too. Totally wrong. The bosom must then upwards to distract from the stomach.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: But that also costs overcoming: getting undressed and being advised when you feel completely misshapen. , ,

Beatrice Kietzmann: Beautiful lingerie are by no means a matter only for slim. In the window, I have a conscious mannequin with size 44/46, since people are sometimes present and laughing - even women who are exactly this size, by the way. But many of these women then tell me: The things are not so bad, because I can try something but also times.

Last year, we organized a photo shoot, when women were quite self-confident up to size 52. When the photo day was there, they were suddenly very meek and said: I do not even remember why I signed up. Then we took some great pictures of them in lingerie, and when they went out, every ten inches above the floor floated.

Beatrice Kietzmann, 47, was actually a medical-technical assistant before becoming a lingerie saleswoman. The native of Hamburg has always had a weakness for lingerie - because she could never find anything for her big size. Since 2001 she advises clients in her shop "Sie & Er - Dessous & mehr" in Buxtehude.
