Avengers: Endgame: Emotional roller coaster in the final battle against Thanos

On "Avengers: Endgame" all Marvel fans have been waiting since the end of "Avengers: Infinity War". From April 24 German Marvel disciples learn how it goes on after the finger snap of Thanos (Josh Brolin). The emotions boil up in the cinema chair in the little over three hours - and over. In view of the request of the directors Joe (47) and Anthony (49) Russo - #DontSpoilTheEndgame - we try to leave out plot details. But if you want to go completely careless in the movie, should not continue reading.

Who can still fight?

Remember, at the end of "Infinity War," Super Rogue Thanos wiped out half of humanity, indeed the entire universe, and half of the Avengers. Will the leftover superheroes be able to get their dust-shattered colleagues back? If yes how? Already in the trailer to "Endgame" was to see that Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) joins the Avengers. Will she be the tip of the scales? Or maybe Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and the so-called "Quantum Realm"? And what role will Clint Barton aka Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) play?

Between laughter, crying and some surprises

So much is to be revealed: On the (most of) the most burning questions fans get answers. Whether all are dealt with to their satisfaction, stands on a different star. The remaining superheroes have a hard time nibbling on Thanos's deed. Some more, others less. Can life just go on after such a loss? Is that allowed? It is an emotional balancing act, between the end-time mood and brisk slogans, hopelessness and irrepressible fighting spirit. Throughout the "Endgame" you can walk between laughter and crying, from beginning to end. Keep handkerchiefs for safety!

Another fight against Thanos is inevitable. There are many surprises on the way - not just the Avengers themselves. "Endgame" is going to be a big class reunion, even with participants who hardly ever had anyone on the screen. A class reunion attended by Ant-Man, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Bruce Banner aka Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Rocket Raccoon (in the original voice of Bradley Cooper) for loud laughter. Sometimes the best comedy is in the tragedy.

Captain Marvel, on the other hand, is surprisingly covered and rather surprised by a new hairstyle. Above all, "Endgame" offers a big stage for the six Avengers of the first hour: Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Bruce Banner aka Hulk ( Mark Ruffalo), Natalia Romanova aka Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Clint Barton alias Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). The movie - and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) thrive on their dynamics, their squabbles, their cohesion.

Fans have followed the history of their heroes since 2008. They are a rough-and-ready family who likes to watch how they stop evil. But a final fight without losses, that seems impossible. Even in the MCU. "Avengers: Endgame" is a conclusion that should be kept in mind in the cinema, even if MCU boss Kevin Feige (45) should have recently stated that only with "Spider-Man: Far From Home", the country in this country on 4 July 2019 starts, phase three of the MCU is completed. It does not feel that way in the cinema chair. In addition: There is no end credit scene, but a last cameo by Stan Lee (1922-2018).

Conclusion

"Avengers: Endgame" is a gift to all fans who have been loyal to the MCU for 22 films. The one or the other question is after the cinema visit, however, open. There will certainly be followers who are not satisfied with one or the other turn. Maybe even some will like the "Infinity War" more. In the superhero universe, it helps to put the logic aside, sit back, cheer and just enjoy. "Endgame" is definitely an emotional rollercoaster ride: from high heaven up to death distressed.
