And it continues for the magical students Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) in the fight against the Dark Lord. In the sixth episode of the Harry Potter movie series Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the fight between good and evil is slowly coming to a head. Voldemort's followers are now also terrorizing the Muggle world: people disappear under mysterious circumstances, mysterious catastrophes happen, and even the Ministry of Magic seems powerless.

Also at Hogwarts precautions are taken. With defensive spells and strict security controls, the castle turns into a magical high-security wing. But if that will keep the Black Lord away? Harry has his doubts there. And really, soon mysterious misfortunes happen in the castle.

Despite the ubiquitous threat posed by Voldemort and his followers, there is still plenty of room during school everyday to plunge teenage hormones into chaos. Harry discovers that Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright) is not only Ron's sister, but also pretty attractive, and Ron cuddles with Lavender Brown (Jessie Cave) most of the day, which in turn finds Hermione anything but gratifying.

But Harry has other worries. For him begins a race against time. During one-to-one tuition, Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) prepares him for the fight with Lord Voldemort. They get support from Professor Horace Slughorn (Jim Broadbent), who returned to his old school after his retirement a few years ago at the request of Dumbledore and Harry quickly closes his heart.

In the end, Slughorn's knowledge becomes an important piece of the mosaic to weaken Voldemort before the decisive battle. But one of the heroes will not witness the outcome of the battle ...

Backgrounds to the movie

With "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" now comes the sixth part of the Potter Cinema series after J.K. Rowling's novel to the cinema. Clear that technical hocus-pocus should not be missed here: During the Quidditch scenes, the actors hung on a wire-made matrix suspension in a flight simulator. So they could easily be whirled in any direction through the air. Yates also used a broom mounted on a moving pole and a giant Russian swing that catapulted the cast into the air.

Young actor Rupert Grint was allowed on the Quiddich field for the first time in his role as Ron Weasley in "Harry and the Half-Blood Prince". As Keeper of the Gryffindors, he guards the gate of his team in the usual tapsiger manner. To capture Ron's clumsiness as believably as possible, Rupert received a special preparation for the shoot: namely none! He was only allowed on the turntable when the camera was already running. Director Stephan Woolfenden comments: "So we shot from different angles as we fired 20 Quaffle at him, and his spontaneous reaction to the balls that came towards him from all sides at the same time is very funny, and because he had to improvise, we believed Immediately he has no control over the situation at all. Movie review

Actually, the movie "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" should premiere last November, but Warner Bros. postponed the date for economic reasons in July. Now he has finally made it to the cinemas, but does not really approach his predecessors.

The world of magicians and sorcerers became so familiar through the recent filming that a piece of the original fascination in the sixth film adaptation had to fall by the wayside. Nevertheless, the film sets are still fantastically and lovingly thought through to the smallest detail.

In the sixth film adaptation of the Potter adventure, there is a depressing mood. The heroes are growing up and in the face of the deadly menace, their childish illusions are also giving away a bit of lightheartedness.

The right tension does not come up, because the narrative jumps between the search for Voldemort's past and the first love experiences of the teenagers slow down the tempo of the film a little.

Conclusion: Despite small flaws remains Harry Potter but for fans an absolute must!
