Adut Akech: She is the world's most sought after model!
The hard work has paid off! The Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech Bior (19) is the world's most sought-after model for fashion experts. The 19-year-old voted for the industry's Model of the Year Industry Award, which involved more than 250 stylists, designers, photographers, makeup artists, and casting directors, ahead of their co-nominees Gigi (23) and Bella Hadid (22), Kaia Gerber (17) or Ashley Graham (31).
That Adut Akech Bior made it that far last year is by no means self-evident. As the model announced at the turn of the year on Instagram, she has to fight with severe depression. "I do not know how I managed to be here today, but I'm so thankful for that," she says in her New Year statement. "I am so grateful to all who helped me, worked with me, supported, encouraged and motivated me to continue each day."
