The latest trend in this area is the so-called "Cloud Bread", which comes with only four ingredients - and promises a heavenly delicious pleasure. Can it keep that promise?



How is it done?

You need the following four ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese (warmed to room temperature)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tbsp honey

Heat the oven to 150 degrees and prepare two bowls for you to separate the egg white from the egg yolk. In one bowl stir the egg yolk with the cream cheese and honey until it becomes a creamy mass. In the other bowl mix the baking powder with the egg white, the mixture should end up as stiff as whipped cream.

Now you can combine both bowl contents and stir until no more yellow stripes are visible. Finally, spread six to eight round flat breads on the baking paper and place the tin in the oven for 15 minutes. If necessary, sprinkle with different spices, for example rosemary.

The ingredients are more reminiscent of an omelet, which - judging by a self-test by a Chroniques DuuvasteMonde editor - is also true.
