Prince William: No celebrity wanted to help him with his campaign

Prince William (36) is currently at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he met, among others, the former Vice President Al Gore (70). In a panel discussion, he expressed surprise at how much mental illness is still taboo in public perception. He refers to the "Heads Together" campaign, which he had launched with his wife, Duchess Kate (37), and brother Harry. The project has set itself the goal of helping people with mental suffering and trauma. At the same time she wants to break the stigma associated, it says, inter alia, "Express.co.uk". "At the time, no celebrity wanted to join us, we went to many well-known people, but nobody was interested in that, that was three years ago!"

He even has a theory why his compatriots have a problem with dealing with the important issue. "Britons are particularly bad at expressing their feelings," he said. Blame is the war generation that has passed the silence about their children. Although many taboos are still prevalent, slowly rethinking society. "As we got the ball rolling, more and more celebrities turned to us to offer their support and it has become much easier to talk about it."

Prince William had to watch in his time as a military rescue pilot even many emotionally stressful things. In particular, a case he had extremely close, he revealed, without going into more detail. He was also aware that he could have slipped off psychologically without help. These sometimes very traumatic experiences have led him to do something about it and to found the said campaign.
