The perfect braiding for those who can not braid

The Oktoberfest in Munich is just around the corner and in the rest of Germany, the end of summer is celebrated at wine festivals and folk festivals. There must not be missing a dirndl, just like the braided hairstyles. But the problem we all know: When braiding the arm is limp, the plaited braid is not accurate and the first strands hang already after five minutes out again. Here comes a fast and durable hairstyle for those who can not braid properly:

The Gretchenzopf:

There is the Gretchenzopf in two possible variants: braided or verzwirbelt. We first explain the beginning, which works the same way for both variants:

  • As a first step, massage a styling cream in dry hair from the tips to the base. Hair is best suited, which is not freshly washed.
  • Then pull a center parting.
  • Tie the hair on the right and left side to a side, low-lying braid and fasten with a narrow, transparent rubber.

Variant wickerwork:

  • Loosely braid the hair on both sides and tie it back together with a transparent braid.
  • Carefully fold the two braids up and fix them in the other end of the braid with hairpins in the same color as the hair.

Variant Zwirbelkranz:

  • Instead of braiding, there is a twirl. Divide the low-lying braid into two parts and screw in one part at a time. Then put this twisted piece over the other screwed in.
  • Repeat this step until the end and twirl down. As with the first variant, gently fold the finished braid upwards and insert it into the end of the other twisted braid. Fix with hairpins.
  • For a Undone-look loosen a few strands of hairstyle. That's how it looks nice and casual.

And if we practice the wreath always beautiful, then soon these Instagram inspirations will work out as well:
