The safest holiday destinations in the world? Germany is no longer one of them
Germany has slipped by 31 places - within two years
Since the last ranking of the World Economic Forum in 2015 Germany has slipped by 31 places in terms of safety and landed in 51st place - behind Rwanda and Kuwait.
The Swiss Foundation assessed the security situation even more negatively in France (67th place), Italy (70) and Great Britain (78). El Salvador, Yemen and Colombia are at the bottom of the 136 countries evaluated.
Finland is the safest country in the world
The analysis regularly compares more than 100 nations in terms of their tourism competitiveness - including how dangerous a trip to a particular country is. In the category "Security & Safety" Among other things, it identifies the work of the police and the extent of crime in one country. And the likelihood of falling victim to a terrorist attack.
