The new make-up bar in Hamburg
Big bulbs illuminate the mirrors, hanging on the wall Black and white portraits of famous beauties, neatly lined up, wait brush, potty, lipstick and nail polish on their insert. Even at first glance, the Beautery exudes a luxurious "I-begrudge-me-what atmosphere".
The "Beautery" is not a beauty salon, but a "make-up bar". Here you can apply make-up looks for different occasions? from subtle day make-up to smokey eyes and extraordinary evening make-up. Hairstyling and manicure is also offered by owner Wendy Verdin-Kohlmeier. I opted for the natural look, a subtle make-up that makes me shine and look like I'm not wearing any make-up.

While Wendy Verdin-Kohlmeier applies a foundation of mineral make-up, my eyes with eyelash curler and dull eyeshadow emphasizes and contour my cheeks, she explains me every single step? So that I can reproduce the make-up with a little practice and the necessary utensils at home. Excellent!
If you want to learn more about make-up techniques and products, you can also book a make-up course in the "Beautery". "The Germans want to do everything themselves," says Wendy Verdin-Kohlmeier, laughing, "that's why the make-up courses are very well received."
The cost of the treatments varies from 20 euros for a "teen" make-up up to 65 euros for a refined look for special occasions. Make-up know-how and new ideas for a personal look are included in the price.
