And best of all, mushrooms hardly contain any calories. With a water content of about 91%, a fat content of less than 1% and thanks to fewer carbohydrates, they are the ideal ingredient for low-carb meals and bring just 24 kcal / 100 g. Of such nutritional values, other vegetables can only dream.

If you want, you can also beat the mushrooms in a clean cloth and then put them in the vegetable compartment. It is important that the cloth is dry and the mushrooms are not stored in the vicinity of odor-intensive foods whose aromas quickly rub off on the mushrooms and can falsify their taste. Before preparation, it is then sufficient to clean the mushrooms with a suitable brush or a clean cloth. They do not have to be peeled or washed. If you want, you can cut the stem a bit, but otherwise the mushrooms, which are already ready to go into the kitchen, are very easy to clean and easy to use. As an alternative, you can also freeze the mushrooms or dry mushrooms and make them last longer.
