Maxi Schafroth: His first assignment at the Nockherberg convinced
Once a year, it's the political core in Bavaria on the collar. At the Starkbier tapping on the Munich Nockherberg takes place beyond the country's borders known, traditional Derblecken instead, in which the assembled political celebrities must hear clear criticism and some side swipe. This year, the cabaret artist Maxi Schafroth (34) celebrated his premiere as a fasting speaker and was celebrated for his first appearance and then praised for long stretches.
Even those present: The Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (52, CSU) perceived the performance as "great" and "extremely entertaining". Even his coalition partner Hubert Aiwanger (48, Free Voters) had words of praise left: "I found it very profound." However, the young Schafroth in his opinion is still a bit too lively, not set enough. Nevertheless, he had "passed the baptism of fire perfectly."
Schafroth followed in big footsteps. Before him, capacities such as Walter Sedlmayr (1926-1990), Max Grießer (1928-2000) and Bruno Jonas (66) already held the annual eagerly anticipated speeches. Lastly, from 2011 to 2018, Luise Kinseher (50), as Mama Bavaria, gave the politicians the Levites. Schafroth, by the way, consciously decided against a role and explained the why with a pointed tongue at the beginning of his performance: "No staging, no acting - that's your area of expertise, dear Markus Söder."
