Martin Haas (? 55): The cause of death is certain

"He was firmly expecting to be back in front of the camera," reveals Jürgen Meschede in an interview with "Bunte". The editorial director of Martin Haas had talked to the moderator shortly before his death - but then came the terrifying news.

What happened?

Martin Haas had evidently been deprived of a flu infection. As "Bild" reports, his brother Steffen describes in "Bunte" that pneumonia had weakened his heart.

Apparently the kidnapped infection had led to pneumonia, which had to be treated in the hospital. Haas was already on the way to recovery and could go home - but then his heart suddenly stopped beating. The colorful said Steffen Haas: "He knew that he was endangered because of his heart, but he had no idea that he was terminally ill."

Carried out infection - he is so dangerous

Experts warn again and again how risky it is to delay a flu infection. Anyone who is ill and does not heal properly risks being worse. For example, it is possible to get pneumonia even though you have "only" flu.

In the worst case, it can also attack the heart. A heart muscle inflammation is treacherous because it is usually not felt by the person affected - it only has the normal flu symptoms. Heart muscle inflammation can ultimately even lead to death if the heart stops beating.

(Not only) For this reason, medics always advise you to go to the doctor if the symptoms have not improved after a few days. Who is sick, should be cured - otherwise the consequences can be dramatic?
