Luke Perry: Mourning for the star from "Beverly Hills, 90210"

Actor Luke Perry has died. Last Wednesday, the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star was rushed to St Joseph's Hospital in Burbank, California, for a severe stroke. Now, Perry's spokesman told TMZ that doctors had sedated the actor yet he died on Monday morning (local time) of the consequences of the stroke. Perry was 52 years old.

As stated in the press officer's statement, the actor was surrounded by friends and relatives in his last hours, including his two children, Jack (21) and Sophie (18), as well as his fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer and ex-wife Rachel Sharp. Further details of his death "will not be published at this time".

Younger fans Luke Perry may have been best known for his role as Fred Andrews in the series "Riverdale," where he mimicked Archie's father. But he had his big break much earlier. From 1990 to 2000, he played in ten seasons the high school student Dylan McKay in the popular series "Beverly Hills, 90210".
