Life on the third coast

The trigger for the move was a tempting job offer to her husband - combined with the thirst for adventure and the idea that it would be nice to give the children an early start into a second language. Now Kerstin Haßlöcher in Chicago cares about the children, the supply of food and occasionally about herself: with Pilates and choir singing. Several years ago, the Frankfurt-based copywriter and journalist helped fill the column "Family Life" in the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.

As a "third coast" - to the east and west coast -, Chicago is sometimes referred to because of its location on the edge of the Great Lakes.
