How can this be prevented?
This question was asked by a 10-year-old boy from the USA. Bishop Curry was shocked by a death in his neighborhood. A 6-month-old baby had died in a hot car. You'd need a device that would sound the alarm in such cases, Bishop thought. And just invented one yourself.
How does the device work?
It measures the temperature in the car. As soon as the air reaches a critical temperature, it releases cold air and at the same time alerts the police. For children, 40 degrees are life-threatening because they do not sweat as much as adults and the body can not cool itself down.
Can I buy the device already?
No. Bishop has so far only designed a prototype made of clay. But his father started a crowdfunding campaign with him, which raised more than $ 50,000. Now the family wants the device, which he called "Oasis", patented and produced.
