The self-proclaimed "King of Mallorca" suffered from stomach cramps and had to vomit several times. That's why a stomach tube was placed in the clinic. On Monday he should now be operated according to his spokeswoman Christine Knoche-Gaydos. "After that we know more," she told "Bild".
On August 13, Drews was hospitalized for a gastrointestinal infection. The 73-year-old had had to cancel four concerts and was treated for three days in a clinic. When he was back on stage last Saturday, he said after the "Bild am Sonntag": "I had very weak knees? Ramona told me, take a chair with you."
