Donald Trump: When playing golf he is supposed to cheat

US President Donald Trump (72) is said to cheat on golf often. That's what former Sports Illustrated columnist Rick Reilly (61) claims in his new book, "Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump," which will be released on April 2. The British "BBC" published in advance short excerpts that throw no good light on Trump. As the book states, "To say that Donald trumps Trump is like saying that Michael Phelps is swimming."

Trump would therefore cheat "on the highest level". "He cheats when people watch and he cheats if they do not." He would not need that at all, because according to many reports, the US President is supposed to be a good golfer.

But not as good as he seems to be. As it is further said, Trump's handicap - which is particularly low for good players - supposedly at 2.8. In comparison: Golf legend Jack Nicklaus (79) is 3.4, according to the report. Or as Reilly puts it, "If Trump has a 2.8, then Queen Elizabeth is pole vaulter."

Sportswriter: Trump cheats like a mafia accountant at golf (May 2024).
