Bella Ciao: Electric remix of a partisan anthem is the summer hit
"O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao ..." - the electronic version of an Italian partisan song in the Second World War has meanwhile not only made its triumphal march almost to the top of the charts (currently # 2). "Bella Ciao" by El Profesor in the remix version of the French DJ Hugel (Florent Hugel) is even the official summer hit 2018, as GfK Entertainment announced on Wednesday.
The song brings everything that a true summer hit, it says in the message: "He has a catchy melody, spread holiday mood, celebrates great success in the Official German Charts, is played in clubs up and down and comes from an artist, which is still relatively unknown in this country. " For ten weeks, the "Bella Ciao" remix is already in the German charts, on YouTube, the track already has over 22 million views.
"After the Spanish-language 'Despacito' last year, an Italian song now prevails, and the really serious lyrics are livened up and made danceable by the club sounds of Hugel," enthuses Dr. Jörg. Mathias Giloth, Managing Director GfK Entertainment. "A deserved summer hit!"
The piece became known through the Spanish series "La casa de papel", which was broadcast by Netflix from the end of 2017 as the "House of Money" in German. A third season is announced for 2019.
The predecessors
Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee was known to deliver the most popular catchy tune in 2017 with the aforementioned "Despacito". The track was an incredible 77 weeks in the charts, including 17 weeks ranked 1. "I Follow Rivers" by Lykke Li held in 2012 an impressive 62 weeks in the Ranking, of which five in the pole position. For 59 weeks, "Prayer In C" (Robin Schulz Remix) by Lilly Wood & The Prick and Robin Schulz was featured in 2014; even on one for five weeks.
