Hair back

Looks are practical on the beach, where ponies and sides are taken off the face. This is possible - even with short hair - with summery towels with elastic band or integrated hairband (eg from H & M). Great, if you have at least medium hair (without pony), twisted braids are: To do so, pull a center parting line, divide a strand on the right side of the face and twirl it loosely from the beginning. After a few centimeters each one strand from the covering and under hair, then continue to turn together. Repeat until the tress reaches the center of the back of the head - and roll in the left side as well. Finally, just combine both braids with a thin hair elastic.

Cast? No chance!

Chlorine and sea water can create a brass-colored tone for brunettes or the greensweet dreaded by blondes - especially when the hair is strained. Protection is provided by swimming creams (eg "UV Rescue Blonde Guard" or "UV Rescue Brunette Guard" by Redken) that wrap around your hair like a waterproof film. If it comes to the color cast, streak by strand with a wadded in lukewarm water and aspirin cotton pad "wipe". Or let the hairdresser put locks that neutralize the veil.

Fresh-up

Practical are shampoo sprays (such as "Summer Hair Wash & Wear" by Fekkai), which rid the hair of sand and sweat without water - to freshen up in between or before the party.

radiation protection

Hair does not get sunburned, but it bleaches too much UV light and makes it brittle. Therefore, it is better to use a special protection spray (eg "Schwarzkopf Professional UV Hair Protection Spray" or "Paul Mitchell Color Protect Locking Spray"). Unlike sun creams, there is no consistent indication of how long UV protection lasts - generally it is recommended to renew it about every three hours and after swimming. Meanwhile, there are even styling products with UV filters (eg "Sunshine Hairspray" by La Biosthetique or "Solar Sublime Gelfluid" by L? Oréal Professionnel).

After sunset

After-sun shampoos (eg "Sun Care Hair and Body Cleanser" by Aveda or "Sú Shampoo" by Davines) are mild and moisturize. In order to regenerate the hair optimally, let a rich treatment (eg "Masque UV Défense Active" by Kérastase) take effect, the damaged areas with ceramides kittet or strengthens with silicon. If you're in a hurry, distribute a leave-in-cure (eg "Moist-In Elixir" from Wella System Professional), which uses vitamin E or silk extracts.

Beach looks in the test

Sarah Harms, Assistant in the beauty department, wanted to know how her hairstyle best suits the sea, the beach and the sun:

UV-protective hair spray Only with a lot of spray can fix my high-set hairstyle. Negative: The hair lacquer makes the hair very hard!

Hairband with hoops Looks good, but slips easily, for example, at beach volleyball. In addition, the stiff tire is permanently uncomfortable.

Hairband with elastic band Practically! Everything fits tightly through the elastic band. Even with gusts of wind, I have no streaks sticking to my face.
