But if society - or in this case the male part in particular - thinks that it can decide what is beautiful and what is not, it has to be brought back to earth.

High time to fight back!
Laura stands by her curves and reacts confidently. One year ago she started her 'Comments Project'. "The purpose of such comments is to give me a bad feeling, as if I were an object, and they should keep me small," explains Laura. But she can not be stopped by the attacks. Instead of deleting the comments, she puts these over her photos.
Advertising vehicles need attractive people to sell their products. A slim body just looks better than a plus-size body.
A tall, slender woman looks better dressed than a small, strong woman.

Fat will always be disgusting because it is unhealthy and unappealing. No matter how hard you try to push the idea that obese bodies are normal, healthy and beautiful, reality says otherwise. You should be ashamed of trying to sell a disease as sexy.

With her project Laura proves courage and makes herself unassailable. It silences anyone who blasphemes about others and makes it clear that bodyshining and bullying are wrong and, above all, they do not care what others say about them.
