What does the world hear this summer?

What does summer in the World Cup countries sound like? In cooperation with Spotify, we have identified the most streamed songs of recent weeks in 14 World Cup countries and created a global soundtrack (*).

The summer of football is celebrated in eight of the 14 countries most with the summer hymn "Summer" by Calvin Harris. You're probably hoping for a summer fairy tale for your own team: in Uruguay, Honduras, Greece, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia and Italy.

In France and England you want to be successful on a wave - with "Waves" by Mr. Probz. As long as the English and French play their game as relaxed as the song sounds, there can still be something out there.

Spain and Mexico swear by Enrique Iglesias and his "Bailando". Iglesias looks much better than the game of the Spanish national team at this World Cup. After their blatant retirement Enrique now dances only for the Mexicans.

And we here in Germany? We have a "dream" - with CRO and with the national team. And we want the US to have a problem with us on June 26th. That goes great with their # 1 hit: "Problem" by Ariane Grande.

What the summer and the World Cup still need? "Magic" by Coldplay, "La La La" by Shakira, a bit of "bath" by David Guetta and a "Dark Horse" by Kate Perry. And do not forget: Always happy to stay "Happy", even if your own team loses. Have fun with our global summer soundtrack!
