The boy with the guitar? No, that's Clueso - as usual relaxed

From the hairdressing trainee to the girl swarm

Thomas Hübner aka Clueso wanted to be a hairdresser. He did not mind school anymore, so he started a lesson. Luckily for us he also made music. Jammed and rapped with his boys in Kassablanca, a youth club in Jena. In 1998, he passed the final exam - and has since focused on what he does well: singing and writing.

Clueso's first album "Text und Ton" is still dominated by his rap roots. But already on "good music", which appears in 2004, his path to the songwriter is emerging. He is a brooder. One who can be happy about the little moments in life as well as the big feelings. He packs all of this into his songs - and has the rare gift of effortlessly avoiding any kitsch cliff. Also on his current album "Heavily in it" he remains true to his unusual style, mixing reggae rhythms, blues and his gentle voice to real pop-beads.

Incidentally, he calls himself Clueso in reference to Inspector Clouseau from "The Pink Panther". The self-ironic dub-image is good for him. Cool poses are not his thing at all. He seems a bit awkward on stage - but that's forgotten as soon as you hear him sing.

Since Clueso in the opening act of the Fantastic Four played and was on tour with Herbert Grönemeyer, has the 28-year-old from insider tip to a real swarm of girls blossomed. The video for his new single "No one thinks of you" should do the rest. With combed hair, three days beard and dreamer's sight, Clueso melts every heart.
