Turn your balcony into an outdoor lounge!

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: When we came to make the balcony, we found only Eternit pots and a gray concrete table. Do not you care about plants?

Nathalie Delhaes: I like it when it blooms on the balcony. Unfortunately, I'm missing the green thumb - and usually the time for proper care. Therefore, I wish for robust plants that do not resent a little dryness.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: What are your favorite colors?

Nathalie Delhaes: I love pastel tones, such as lilac and mint green. Colors belong to life for me. Through them rooms become really comfortable. But I deal with them rather sparingly. I am fascinated by the clear design language of minimalist architecture, such as that of buildings made of pure concrete. Flowers and colored fabrics then serve to liven up the cool material. In my home I act similarly. The walls are white and the rooms are furnished with modern design classics. On the other hand, flowers that I put down may be a little lovely. It could be carnations, for example. I like breaks that surprise.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde: We covered your balcony railing with light fabric and made the whole thing puristic - with modern materials such as concrete and plastic and gentle gray and lavender colors. OK then?

Nathalie Delhaes: I think it's great. The balcony looks modern and trendy. In any case, I'll leave it that way - provided that the plants survive permanently ...

Chillout with a view: Nathalie Delhaes relaxes after work on the balcony. Chairs "Heaven" by Emu about 250 euros, concrete table "Karlsruher Garten- U" about 11 euros (building materials), large Eternit pot (Schneider + Heid), plastic pot, about 25 euros (Eden Living), balcony cover, fabric "Lara", from 60 euros per meter (Nya Nordiska).

Concrete table "Karlsruher Garten-U" about 11 euros (building materials), plastic cups 3 euros (The laundry).

Blooming sachet: In the center of the pot sits a large lemon thyme with bright, purple flowers. Woolly cat paws (Antennaria dioica var. Borealis) sit in the corners. Both species are good for dryness. Eternit pot about 150 euros and matching cradle about 156 euros (Schneider + Heid), watering can "Elise" about 10 euros (Koziol)
