Who she is: The oldest yoga teacher in the world.

What she does: Pronounce your students yoga exercises - with 95 and artificial hip. "There's nothing we can not do when we use the energy in us," she says. And Tao Porchon-Lynch seems to have loads of energy: she is an award-winning world-class dancer, acted in Britain, France and the USA in the 1940s and 50s, writing scripts and documentary films for the next two decades. And on the side did Yoga - since more than 70 years. She teaches yoga students in New York four times a week. Since 2012 she is officially the oldest yoga teacher in the world with an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.

What she says "Yoga is an inner dance ... and then something grows in you and becomes so big that it overflows like champagne and makes you dance externally."

What others say about them: "It is a living example of the significant effect of yoga on the body and health - and its miraculous power to slow down and in some cases even reverse the aging process." (a Canadian journalist)

Ruth Westheimer

Who she is: A German-American sociologist and sex therapist

What she does: Helping people to have better sex - for decades. The 85-year-old, who in the US as a dr. Ruth, launched a radio show called "Sexually Speaking" in the 1980s. Callers got from the 1.40-meter lady tips for a fulfilling love life. This was followed by several TV shows in which Dr. Ruth chatted sexily. By now she has published more than 30 guides, most recently in 2010 "Myths of Love". She has her own app, her Youtube channel and over 70,000 followers on Twitter. In her videos in English? with a strong German accent? recommends that couples also read Shades of Gray. She herself would spend a night with the protagonist Christian Gray, she says? if she were much younger and not married.

What she says "If you give in, sex becomes boring!"

What others say about them: "Only she can talk so droll and talk show-capable about the most intimate things like anal sex, masturbation and erotic malaises." (a journalist)

What we can learn from her: That you can talk about sex at any age without blushing.



Ruth Flowers aka DJ Mamy Rock

Who she is: Retired singing teacher, grandmother and internationally successful DJane

What she does: The dance floors of Europe are rocking. As Mamy Rock, the 73-year-old Englishwoman performs in trendy clubs and at festivals. The idea for her late DJ career came to Ruth Flowers after a trip to London's nightlife. She accompanied her grandson to a club - and was thrilled by the energy of the young party people. The grandson communicated with a French producer, and the figure Mamy Rock came into being. In July she released her single Still Rocking.

What she says "You can sit on your butt and rest, or you can get up and do something."

What others say about them: "We would like to see her grandmother!" (Guests in a Parisian club)

What we can learn from her: That we should delete the sentence "I'm far too old ..." from our vocabulary.





Zandra Rhodes

Who she is: Fashion and textile designer, style icon

What she does: Notice. And not only by the pink-colored Bob and the theatrical make-up. The 72-year-old Briton created a sensation in the 1970s with exceptional creations and eye-catching patterns, and has since become a fixture in the fashion world. Freddie Mercury and Lady Di were big fans, their clothes are as much to be admired by Hollywood star Helen Mirren as in the series "Sex and the City". Zandra Rhodes has been designing home textiles and opera costumes for several years.

What she says "I want to design clothes that make you feel great."

What she wore when she met the Queen: A floor-length, multi-layered dress in turquoise and purple, countless necklaces and - as in the picture on the left - her stuffed dog handbag called Paris.

What we can learn from her: That life can not be colorful enough.



Daphne Selfe

Who she is: Model, muse and fourfold grandmother

What she does: Look stunning. The 84-year-old ran over the catwalk for Dolce & Gabanna and is said to be the face of Wolfgang Joop's new Wunderkind campaign. Daphne Selfe's modeling career began in the early 1950s when she was 20.Ten years later, the fashion world was no longer interested in them. It was not until the early '70s that the Briton was approached again by a model scout - and since then she has earned more than ever before.

What she says "My gray hair is my big luck, it gives me much more charisma than before."

What others say about them: "I'm just in love with this woman" (fashion designer Wolfgang Joop)

What we can learn from her: That a second attempt pays off. And that makes the years - with the right attitude - always beautiful.
