It was to be the most beautiful day of her life, but it ended before it even started. The young British Anna Swabey was happy despite her illness on her dream wedding. For although the 25-year-old suffered from an incurable brain tumor, it should not stop that from giving the love of her life the yes-word. But fate did not like the young couple: Only one day before the wedding Anna lost the fight against cancer.

Anna and her friend Andy Bell got to know and love Tinder in 2015. Shortly before, the young woman received the shock diagnosis. She knew she was going to die and told Andy directly about it on the first date. But Andy did not care. He loved her and wanted to enjoy the time she had left to the fullest.

On Dec. 5, he finally made an application, "He went down on his knees and asked if I wanted to be his wife, and of course I said yes, he made me the happiest woman in the world," the senior linguist wrote on her Blog 'Inside My Head'. On September 17, 2016, the two lovers wanted to marry. Anna died on 16 September.

But her death was not in vain. On her blog, the young woman reported almost daily on her life with the cancer, trying to draw attention to the disease. With success! During her lifetime, the 25-year-old collected over 100,000 euros in donations, which are now to flow into brain tumor research.

Anna and Andy wanted to spend their lives together - maybe Anna's dedication will at least extend the lives of other affected people.
