This is what fashion dolls look like without make-up

Why do we let girls play with pompous fashion dolls when there are so many cool role models? That's what artist Wendy Tsao thought, but instead of waiting for the insight of the toy industry, she took the matter into her own hands.

Inspired by the Australian doll designer Sonia Singh, she initially designed Bratz dolls so that they have natural faces. In addition, there is the right hairstyle and lovingly sewn clothes - and already from the disco girls real role models, such as the young Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan.

The somewhat stupid Dirndl girl becomes one of the most successful authors in the world: Harry Potter inventor J.K. Rowling, with matching Gryffindor scarf.

Why not reach for the stars? Godmother stood for this doll Roberta Bondar, the first woman from Canada, who flew into space.

Jane Goodall is a British scientist who has strongly promoted the study of monkeys. Even the 81-year-old gets a doll.

Waris Dirie, Model, author and activist, is also a role model for Wendy Tsao. The Somali native is committed against genital cutting of girls.

Opposite the Metro.co.uk portal, Wendy Tsao says about her dolls: "I truly admire these women who represent my dolls, for what they have achieved or are still doing. They should become role models, or at least in addition to the ones that they do Disney and Hollywood products. "

Whether children really like it as great as the adults, Wendy does not know either. "Maybe a child does not admire them so much because they are all famous adults, with the exception of Malala, but maybe we have to show the children that these impressive women were also children, and that each of us has the potential."

Incidentally, Wendy Tsao plans to auction off the already finished dolls on Ebay soon. If you do not want to miss this, you should follow their blog on wendytsao.com for updates.
