In the Christmas spirit, I mainly come across music? therefore, I'll be looping my Christmas playlists up and down in late November at the latest. From the Christmas Oratorio to RUN-DMC everything is there, as long as "Christmas" and "Last" are not in the song title. Good that there are headphones, otherwise my colleagues would have guaranteed me already unnerved thrown into the cookie oven of the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde-trial kitchen.

Dark red amaryllis between fragrant spruce branches? that's enough to put me in a pre-Christmas mood right away. Everywhere in the apartment, I distribute these bouquets and allow me from the first Advent (and not a day earlier) every now and then the Christmas Oratorio of Bach in full volume.

For years, my best friend and I have had the ritual of making treats all day long on a Sunday of Advent. In the meantime, we have gotten away from biscuit baking and are eager to produce a wide variety of chocolates, which ensures great joy in our circle of friends. Two little tips: The decoration is half the battle (beautiful boxes, ribbons or personal dedications on trailers), also the day should be as close as possible to Christmas, as the chocolates taste fresh the best.

The gear to the Christmas market catapults my Christmas spirit from 0 to 100, gladly several times a week. No, I'm not dependent on mulled wine, but my daughter is addicted to carousels and lollies. I like to join in, I like the fairy lights, the huts and the spicy scents. And while the kid is making his rounds with red cheeks, I chat with acquaintances who meet here at each fir tree. Wonderfully comfortable.

There is snow at Christmas and Sweden belongs to my loved ones. What could be more natural than to start the pre-Christmas season with a short trip? Meanwhile, I have made it a tradition to visit my sister in Stockholm when Advent begins. Window shopping at minus 15 degrees make the hands cold, but the heart warm. My favorite tip:? Dansen på Skansen ?. As the people in the famous open-air museum always rock around the Christmas tree on Sundays, they are ready for Christmas.

I do not like to dictate my mood. That's why I refuse the Christmas romance imposed every year on principle. Sometimes, however, this silent protest collides with my social life. I can not do much with classic Advent decoration. But with scent. After tea, speculaas and oranges. Whenever I peel oranges or tangerines, I bend the bowl and spray its scent. This is better than any room spray and makes for me a pleasant Advent atmosphere.

At the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde, Christmas always starts at the end of July. Immediately after the summer holidays we brainstorm for days about gifts, cookies, decoration etc. We develop extensive concepts, looking for a totally new approach? maybe something crazy. Several ChroniquesDuVasteMonde editions eventually need to be filled with Christmas spirit, felt from mid-October to sacred king kings. We call that: the Christmas highway. And Heiligedreikreuze I do, if we can at the exit "Dieneuemodefürsfrühjahr" down.Then, by the way, I already scratched a few good gifts ideas from the highway and I'm mentally through with the topic. Unfortunately I do not feel able to think of speculoos, handicrafts or Advent singing in the pre-Christmas season. I even refuse invitations to pre-Christmas drinking. I! If necessary, I submit a certificate from my psychotherapist: Pre-Christmas Burnout! I need the six weeks between the Christmas freeway and Christmas to regenerate myself for the actual feast. Because actually I like it all: family, candles, open fire and long walks after the goose roast coma. Until then, Christ, please leave me alone. Happy Holiday!
