The Kominsky Method: Netflix series with Michael Douglas gets second season

At the end of 2018, cult producer and screenwriter Chuck Lorre launched Netflix's new Comedy format "The Kominsky Method". Whether there would be a sequel, was long unclear - until now! Because the lovable-charming story about Sandy Kominsky (Michael Douglas, 74, "Basic Instinct") and his longtime agent Norman Newlander continues. The good news has now been announced in an official video by Netflix. A total of eight episodes include the new season, it is also according to the industry side "Deadline". The production should start this January.

The series about two aging Hollywood actors starring Douglas and Alan Arkin (84, "Jacob, the Liar"), two Oscar winners, has won two Gold Globes and been nominated for another. The name Chuck Lorre is considered an absolute guarantee of success in Hollywood circles. He made series like "The Big Bang Theory" or "Two and a half Men" possible. Except for a few flops, each of his works became an international hit.

Why Lorre's latest comedy project has just become a story about the pitfalls of aging, said the series creator on a panel discussion in Los Angeles last summer, about which, among other things, "Variety" reported, so: "The program was created because I wanted to write something that has to do with my current life. " The fact that the aging can be quite humorous, he already proved with the first season of "The Kominsky Method". An exact start date for the second part of the comedy newcomer has not yet been announced.
