Stefan Gödde: That's why the TV presenter is interested in old lamps
Sustainability - this is how Stefan Gödde (42) knows his stuff. The TV presenter, who is also on camera for the science magazine "Galileo", is known for his ecological commitment. He not only presents formats such as the "Green Seven Week" or the "Green Seven Report" on ProSieben, but also becomes privately active. He believes: "In many areas of everyday life it is so easy to act sustainably, and we only need to call these areas into our consciousness again and again."
What does Gödde mean by that? Quite simply: Everyone can do something for the environment and thus for the preservation of our planet. Just take the bus instead of the car, the plastic shopping bags not only once, but use multiple times - or completely renounce them. Many do, but of course there is much more.
Environmentally sound disposal of old lamps
If the old lamp has served its day, it will probably end up in the garbage of the majority of consumers. But that is wrong. Stefan Gödde, who describes environmental protection and social projects as personal "matters of the heart", knows that the recycling of old lamps is underestimated. Not only young people have yet to be introduced to the topic.
Together with the non-profit company Lightcycle, the TV presenter supports the nationwide initiative "Good to know". What fascinated him about the subject of "lamp recycling" so much? "I find it remarkable that the correct disposal of LED and energy-saving lamps can reuse up to 90 percent of the lamp components," says Gödde.
His mission is simple
Above all, enlightenment must be, says Gödde. After all, there are lamps everywhere - as well as collection points for the professional disposal of old bulbs. But Gödde goes one step further: With his video documentary series, he does not just want to draw attention to the environmentally friendly recycling of lamps. It was also important to him, "above all to sensitize young people for environmental protection and sustainability." After all, anyone can and should learn how to properly use the resources of this earth.
