Palace proclaims: This Royal leads Meghan Markle to the altar

The days before the wedding were certainly not the easiest for Meghan Markle. After her father Thomas Markle had to cancel due to health problems in the short term his participation in the wedding, many wondered, who will lead the bride instead to the altar.

It was speculated that her mother Doria will take on this role, but now the Kesington Palace announces: Prince Charles will be honored!

A statement says:

Ms. Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, to accompany her on her wedding day to the altar in St. George's Chapel. The Prince of Wales is pleased to welcome Ms. Markle to the royal family this way.

It is a touching gesture that shows how connected the 36-year-old already feels with her husband's family.
