Make-up artists reveal: With these tricks you refresh the make-up properly

Two hours with felt 37,282 people in the train, eight hours at work? and the make-up looks like we put it on two days ago. Great! Each of us knows the feeling: We leave the house in a very stylish way, but after a few hours nothing seems to be left of it. So if nothing works, we need to refresh our make-up. That this is not sooo easy, we had to (almost) all notice. That's why we asked three make-up artists for their insider tips.

Concealer Fresh-up

Stefanie Schollbach, Senior Make up Artist and Trainer at Urban Decay, swears by moisture spray. But not only to give it to the whole face. She has a very special trick on how to brush up her make-up:

Often we have the problem that the concealer is spotty if you give more product on it. I like to apply a moisturizer on the brush, then the texture of the concealer is much moister. As a result, you can almost dissolve the concealer, which is already a few hours on it. This can then be worked up again with the fresh concealer.

And no, you do not have to worry that the concealer will look catastrophic and cakey afterwards. Because: You must not forget that the make-up is already a few hours on the skin. As a result, the powder under the eyes has lost a bit of effect. "With a freshly applied concealer, this trick is difficult," says Stefanie. So please try it after four to six hours. Then nothing can go wrong. Of course you should dust off the concealer afterwards? but please do not choose too dull product. Otherwise the skin will dry quickly! Incidentally, Stefanie swears by Urban Decay's "Rebound Collagen-Infused Complexion Prep Priming Spray". This contains collages and ensures a fresh look.

Save Foundation

Fabian Kirdorf, make-up artist and counter manager at NARS in Kaufhof in Berlin, tells us how we can get the complete face back on track:

I like mixing a liquid highlighter with tinted care or serum, especially when the skin has become very dry during the day. Then I dab it gently on the skin and it then starts to glow again immediately and looks fresh. This actually works? also over the make-up!

For an oily skin, he advises: dusting! However, you should rather resort to a light-reflecting powder instead of a matt powder. "It makes the skin glow even more natural, dead-matt will not hurt you in the end." His favorite: The Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder by NARS.

Generally, he would still rather advise to liquid or creamy products. The reason: If we always powder, then you will see the powder coating on the face at some point. And we really do not want that. It is important to tap the products into the skin with your fingers, advises Fabian. Then you do not have to worry about wiping your make-up off as you pour liquid products over the old powder.

The fingers are the best tool we have when it comes to skin and textures.

He strongly advises against giving more foundation to the Foundation if we want to refresh our make-up. That's too much and then it starts to slip sometime. Less is more in this case.

All about eyes

If we use powder after the fresh-up, then Celia Price, National Brow Artist at Benefit, advises to grab a loose powder rather than a pressed one. "It does not build up the pigment and you do not have a cake fake at the end of the day," she says. But if you feel like you can not look fresh and alert during the day, you can also grab a highlighter.

With Highlighter I do not mean the highlight on the cheek, but under the brow and in the inner corner of the eye. This also lifts the brow and makes you look fresher. This can be refreshed during the day without any problems.

If you know that you are planning something during the day and need to refresh your make-up, then you should not use three coats of mascara in the morning. Celia advises: Rather prefers a tinted eyelash primer, which raises it and lets it appear defined. If you really want to get started in the evening, can you give it over to your favorite Mascara without any problems? without it getting crumbly. Because we all know it: giving mascara over old mascara does not make the eyelashes necessarily beautiful. But on the contrary! She likes to use the "They're REAL Tinted Primer".It tones the eyelashes in a natural brown and makes them supple.

And if all these tips do not help, unfortunately, only one thing will help: make-up and make-up. But honestly, who has that kind of time ?!
