Make goatskin cushions yourself

Goatskin cushions - for this you need:

• Goatskin in gold, 27 x 84 cm
• Goatskin in gray, 27 x 11 cm (each about 30 euros, via www.ensuite.de)
• Cushion inlay 25 x 40 cm
• sharp scissors
• leather glue
• Sewing machine with leather needle

Goatskin cushions - how it works:

Cut golden leather into two pieces of 27 x 48 cm or 27 x 36 cm. Cut into larger piece with sharp scissors starting from the one short side 1 cm wide and 30 cm long fringes. Cut gray leather into 1 cm wide and 27 cm long strips, weave them into the golden ones, glue them to the sides with glue to fix the stripes. Interweave until the end. The 27 x 36 cm golden piece of leather together with the protruding unwound part of the front part forms the back of the pillow. Lay parts right to right, fold the protruding piece of the front outwards (this will be the "hotel closure"), stitch together the other three sides so that a 25 x 40 cm large cover is created. Turn to the right, insert the inlay.
