Make fake fur mittens yourself

How to do it

Adjust cut for the mittens: enlarge template (s.unten) to original size, put on hand, possibly extend and / or widen. Allow at least 2 cm to the edge. Cut out the cut and mark for the left and right hand one side of the template with A and the back with B (!).
Adapting the fur application: For short-pile furs, extend the template for the fur part. For long-pile furs, make sure that the hair ends with the upper edge of the glove.
Enlarge and cut all cut pieces (including seam allowances): 2 x narrow piece, 2 x wide piece, 2 x fur, 2 x stripes. Place the paper cut pieces on the Wollwalk and cut them once each.
Turn both paper cut parts (for the other hand), hang up again and also cut. For each glove, 2 pieces are cut out (one narrow and one wide piece). Mark fabric pieces on the back of the fabric with chalk (eg A and B) to avoid confusion when sewing.
For the panel trim 2 strips (about 4.5 x 24 cm) or for custom-sized cuts: 4.5 cm x the length of the glove hem / lower edge. Cut the artificial fur 2 times without seam allowance. Make sure that when cutting the fur is not cut with!

Place the two glove parts, one narrow and one wide, one on top of the other, put together. All around with a small zigzag stitch. Then stitch at a distance of approx. 0.5 cm from the edge with a small stitch. Leave seam under the thumb. Turn glove. At the open seam, insert the seam allowance inwards, sew by hand. For the panels, strip one long side with zigzag stitch, fold across the middle and sew edges together with 1 cm seam allowance. Slip the slip over the glove right to right. Edge to edge, seam to seam, put together and sew. Turn outwards, iron seam smoothly. Fold the document inwards and sew it inside the glove by hand with witch stitch.
