Kelly Rowland: She would not be performing at the Super Bowl anymore

On the 3rd of February the time has come: The Super Bowl LIII will take place - this year in Atlanta! Many stars dream of performing during the halftime break or singing the US national anthem before kick-off of the football game. But one lady clearly opposes it: Kelly Rowland (37, "Motivation"). The US gossip portal "TMZ Sports" she has stated that she would reject such a request.

What has changed?

It is irritating that the singer has already collaborated with the National Football League (NFL) hosting the spectacle in the past. In 2013 she performed together with her Destiny's-Child-colleagues Beyoncé (37) and Michelle Williams (38) at the Super Bowl. Why she would not occur again, however, is unclear. Rowland did not give any further details.

In 2019, the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots will meet in the final of the NFL. The band Maroon 5 ("Girls Like You") will perform at half-time break, and the rapper Big Boi (43, "All Night") from Outkast and Travis Scott (26, "Sicko Mode") were announced as musical acts. The national anthem sings Gladys Knight (74, "Neither One Of Us").
