James Gunn: New hope for "Guardians of the Galaxy 3"!

Will James Gunn (52, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2") be the director of "Guardians of the Galaxy 3"? As the industry magazine "Deadline.com" reported, the matter should not be the last word in the matter yet. According to insiders, complicated talks are currently underway between the Marvel Studios and Disney, which could give Gunn new hope. Whether, however, with regard to the actual resumption of directing, or only with regard to the use of the script, the 52-year-old has already written for the third part, which remains unclear.

The director was released from the project a few weeks ago, after an American news site redistributed several year-old tweets with offensive content. Disney had reacted with this action to complaints from readers. The impetus for rethinking this decision came primarily from the cast of the superhero fan-changer, who expressed himself in an open letter for Gunn's whereabouts. Dave Bautista, 49, who plays the character Drax in the movie, even said that he did not want to play anymore if Gunn's script was not used.
