Important change at IKEA - that's what customers need to know now

That's what the furniture giant announced two years ago - but now it's over again: The introduced in 2014 lifelong right of return is deleted, as reported, inter alia, the FAZ.
Why is the end of this practical service after only two years? The paper quotes a spokesman: "We've found that our customers have no need for such a long time. Well over 90 percent of customers who want to exchange an item come in the first two to three months after purchase. We therefore do not have to hold processes for something that is not needed at all. "
But in the future, too, Ikea customers can be happy that they can get used to their new parts for longer than usual, because in the future there will be a return period of one year - before 2014 it was still three months.
The amended rules apply with the publication of the new catalog at the end of August. Ikea products purchased between 25 August 2014 and 31 August 2016 may continue to be exchanged for life.
