Is it really possible to have a three-week orgasm?
Midwife Emily Street from England tells that she experienced an orgasm in the births of her four children. However, her "birth orgasm" differs from a sexual climax: "The euphoric happiness after birth was very, very close to the feeling of orgasm," Emily told the British "Daily Mail," adding that feeling "three to four weeks" have stopped. This was made possible by the "hypnobirthing" procedure with which she gave birth to her children.

Emily was terrified of the birth of her first child. "As a midwife, I had seen a lot of things and, of course, the births that have not been so nice are hanging on." She started to explore ways to make childbirth more enjoyable and came across "hypnobirthing" - a method whereby the woman giving birth can control her birth pains through breathing and relaxation techniques. Emily decided to give the method a try - and completely relinquished painkillers at birth.
Muted light and gentle music
"Instead of taking a deep breath and tensing the pelvis, you breathe deeply and relax in dim light and gentle music," Emily says of the birth of hypnobirthing. "It all felt new and intense, but never so much that it overwhelmed me and was beyond control." The procedure worked well for her: "I had a fabulous birth, with no painkillers, and I was surprised at how well it worked."
The three-week orgasm
But above all, the time after birth was something very special for Emily: At home, she experienced orgiastic, intense feelings of happiness for several weeks. The midwife has been a staunch advocate of hypnobraming and has been trying to convince other mothers how much breathing and relaxation can facilitate childbirth.
The only disadvantage?
According to Emily, the feeling is so great that you no longer want to miss it: "I'm devastated that I'll never experience it again, because the feeling is just overwhelming!"
