Fluffy! So you just knit the warmest blanket of winter

The cozy trend to the XXL cuddly blanket

On Pinterest we fell in love a long time ago with the cozy blankets. Now we finally do it ourselves!

Our Big Wool XXL Blanket is in a big pear pattern 1.90 m long and 1 m wide.

For this size you need:

  • 17 strands (200gn / 25m)
  • Needles in strength 20

Knitting tension: 4M x 3R

Make stitches for the blanket

  1. You hit 35 stitches, these include two edge stitches. The first four rows are knitted tight right. This means that their back and forth rows knit in right stitches.
  2. This is followed by 48 rows in a large pear pattern.

Explanations to the abbreviations:

  • Rm = edge stitch
  • M = mesh
  • R = row

The big pear pattern knits her like this:

1st row: 1 rm, alternating one st on the right and one on the left, repeat until the end of the row, close with 1 st.
2nd row: Knit 1 st, 1 st, as shown, until the end of the row.
3rd row: 1 round, knit M in the opposite direction, that is to say in turns, one st on left and one st on right to end of row, sts 1 st.
4th row: Knit 1 st, 1 st in M as they may appear.

In our video knitting school we show you how to knit pearl and rib patterns.

You repeat these four rows 21 times.

Then you can finish your blanket again on the crotch right by knitting 4 rows in right stitches as in the beginning. Now you just have to chain off the stitches - your XXL blankie is ready!
