Finally free: wife was imprisoned for miscarriage 11 years
Actually, she was supposed to serve a full 30 years in prison. In December, a court in El Salvador confirmed the guilty verdict for murder and the 30-year prison sentence for Teodora del Carmen Vásquez.

Supreme Court responds to international protests? Freedom for Teodora
After numerous international protests and media reports? Among other things, the European Parliament had interfered in the case? have the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Justice of the Central American country now turned on? and the release of today's 34-year-olds.
The spokeswoman for an organization fighting the El Salvador abortion ban and campaigning for Vásquez said, "Teodora is free and happy to regain her freedom after her ordeal, and she has come back with her family to return home back."
There, too, her 14-year-old son is waiting eagerly for his mother. He has not had much of her except in his first three years.
It could only come to all this because El Salvador is one of the most backward states in the world in terms of abortion law. Abortions are punished with severe penalties there. But in Europe, abortions are not allowed everywhere: In Ireland, women are forced to deliver a child, unless their own lives are in danger as a result of pregnancy or childbirth.
