Fanpost: Karl Lagerfeld angry at Elke Heidenreich
What happened?
Actually, it should be an interesting Friday night in the Cologne Opera. Karl Lagerfeld in conversation with Elke Heidenreich, as part of the Cologne Literature Festival LitCologne, and indeed on both favorite topic: Books.
But on Friday afternoon, Lagerfeld stated that he was not coming. Reason: The "impertinent" article about him, written by Elke Heidenreich in the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde WOMAN, issue 4/2012 (until 10 April at the kiosk), Elke Heidenreich had written in the column "fan mail" a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld, a very personal declaration of love. A sentence in the warm-hearted text displeased the fashion designer, Heidenreich came in his habit of speaking to wear half-gloves.
She wrote: "I understand the half-gloves only too well, because nowhere does one see the true age of a person more clearly than on his hands."
The scandal was there. Lagerfeld finally came to the Cologne Opera, but on condition that he did not have to speak with Heidenreich. Heidenreich withdrew, Roger Willemsen jumped in.
