Duchess Meghan: In soft rosé she celebrates her debut as patron

Since mid-January, Duchess Meghan (37) is the patron of the National Theaters in London. Previously, Queen Elizabeth II (92) had been the patroness of the Great Theater for 45 years. Now Meghan, who worked as an actress ("Suits") before her marriage to Prince Harry (34), paid a first visit to the theaters on the Thames.

In the process, the expectant mother learned more about the work and projects of the London institution and met with employees and trainees who are involved in the processes behind the scenes. Among other things, she talked to craftsmen, who are responsible for the stage design, and joked with the children's actors of the theater. The Kensington Palace posted a short video on Twitter from Meghan's appointment.

Hidden reference to Prince Harry

For her royal appointment as patron, Duchess Meghan had made chic as usual. Despite her ever-growing baby bump, the 37-year-old wore an elegant dress by Brandon Maxwell in a delicate rose tone. For this she combined a blazer in the same color. While holding a mini-clutch in one hand, she usually put the other over her unborn child protectively.

In her shoes, Meghan put on the tried and tested - and so sent a hidden salute to her husband, who was not present at the appointment: The cream-colored "Matilde" pumping Aquazzura she had already on the day of the announcement of her engagement with the grandson of the Queen born in November 2017.
