Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry: The birth is not a public spectacle

This news is sure to be a bitter disappointment to all fans of the British Royals: As the royal court announced on Thursday, Duchess Meghan (37) and Prince Harry (34) will keep their baby's birth as private as possible. The two would look forward to "sharing the exciting news with everyone when they had the opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family." By implication, this means that the public is not informed about all the details.

In all likelihood, there will be no photo session immediately after birth, as usual for Prince William (36) and Duchess Kate (37) in front of the hospital. It will only tell when the birth will begin, they say. Otherwise, there would be no further information at first. The exact date of birth is also unknown. Duchess Meghan only stated that she would be able to see her baby in the spring of 2019.

Meghan attends first royal event since Archie's birth (May 2024).
