Dracula: "Sherlock" -makers give their own series to the vampire prince

From Master Detective to Vampire Lord: The brains behind the successful BBC series "Sherlock" with Benedict Cumberbatch (42) are dedicated to the next literary cult figure - from the very other end of the Righteousness Scale. Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat are currently working on a series adaptation of the famous "Dracula" story by author Bram Stoker (1847-1912). This is reported by the US side "Variety".

Outside the UK, Netflix will be responsible for distributing the series. As with "Sherlock" it will not be a classic series with 10 to 13 episodes per 45-minute season, but only three episodes in feature length (90 minutes). London will be the scene of the event in 1897, when the Transylvanian vampire prince is up to mischief.

Moffat and Gatiss are already on fire to breathe new life into the most famous vampire in literary history: "There have always been stories of the great evil, and what makes Dracula so special is that Bram Stoker has given his own hero to evil. " When fans of the bloodsucker will enjoy the first three episodes and who will belong to the cast, is currently still in the stars.
