In the cinema: TOO HARD TO BE TRUE

Has not everyone ever experienced that? A super hot guy / A super hot girl is totally on me and I just can not believe it? Ok, I admit, that has not happened to EVERYONE. But Kirk (played by Jay Baruchel) has to experience just that. Probably not the worst, you'll think now, but: Kirk is a loser. And not only he thinks that, but also his friends and family. The successful Molly, on the other hand (played by Alice Eve), is an incredibly hot guy and has just kept an eye out for Kirk.

He can not believe it. Nobody from his environment can believe it. And that's why he wants to prove that he's not really such a big loser, as everyone claims and the great Molly can hold. However, he himself thinks that Molly is probably one size too big for him, because she is "too keen to be true".

A funny and very entertaining story, as it could happen to us.

Love has many faces and can meet everyone suddenly and by chance. By coincidence, French director Alain Resnais now shows in the movie "Beware of Longing". In a particularly subtle touch of humor and melancholy, "Vorsicht Sehnsucht" tells the story of two people who meet unexpectedly.

Magaruite, is in the middle of life and works as a dentist. Although she does her job well, she is bored from work. Instead, the hobby pilot dreams of making flying a profession. When she is stolen from the purse after buying a shoe in a boutique, she hardly expects to ever see her wallet again.

Georges, pensioner in his fifties, also dreams about flying. But instead of spending his time at the airport, he usually spends his time alone at home. His wife is working. The children are already grown up. Georges feels lonely and superfluous.

He finally finds the red wallet on the floor in the parking garage. He searches for clues to the owner and discovers a photo of Magaruite. Immediately he is enchanted by this woman. Georges refuses to go directly to the police. He would rather call this woman and calm her down. And not only that! He really wants to get to know this mysterious woman. The purse triggers deep longing and imagination in it.

He begins to imagine how she is doing this Magaruite and how they could meet each other. After her first phone call, Georges is disappointed. Magaruite is grateful to him but has no intention of meeting him in person. Georges feels challenged and likes to get involved in the game with the unknown.

In Alain's Resnais film, viewers can feel the yearning and find themselves identifying with Georges. Who would not want to take the chance to meet an attractive person randomly?

She is said to be the most dangerous gang in the world, Mara Salvatrucha. A militarily perfectly organized criminal organization that ransoms billions among other things with drug, human and arms trade. El Casper (Edgar Flores) is a faithful member of the local Clika Mara Salvatrucha gang. With the death of his girlfriend, caused by the leader of the gang, Lil? Mago (Tenoch Huerta Mejía), but begins to ripen a transformation in El Casper, which culminates with the rescue of the Honduran refugee girl Sayra (Paulina Gaitan) before a rape Lil? Magos: He kills his gang boss and thus becomes a traitor. Outlawed and released for launch, he must now try to escape revenge. Cary Joji Fukunaga also introduces her to the audience with this road movie, but he sounds much quieter than the previous films. With all its violence and brutality, "Sin Nombre" is a realistic and authentic film, which shows in an urgent way the fate of two people who have not yet given up hope for a better life.

With the documentary "Friedensschlag" Gerado Milsztein tries to portray the path of young people back to life.

Eftal, Marco, Josef, Denis and Juan. Five completely different young people who all suddenly pursue a common goal: they do not want to go to jail. Marcos mother died from an overdose of heroin when he was still a child, Josef quit school at fifteen and looks into an uncertain future, and Eftal is also about to slip into crime for good. The program "Work and Box" is the last chance for everyone to find their way to normal life and to rehabilitate themselves.

Already the first days go to the young people to the substance: Some break out, others want to leave the project and still others are afraid to face their own fears.

The recordings provide insight into a world that makes you think. It shows the struggle of five young people whom nothing seems to stand in the way of themselves. Especially remarkable is the work of the project leaders Rupert Voss and Werner Makella, who are ready with inexhaustible patience and daily courage to work with these young people.

The creation of the project is quite remarkable: The work within the project was difficult enough, the permanent filming did not make it easier for the young people. The result is an unusual documentary that always stays close to its main characters.

Nevertheless, the film should not only meet with understanding: "peace strike" confronted with questions for which there are no simple answers. The film focuses on violent young people in search of a better life - but their victims do not speak.

Whether understanding, sadness or anger. Peace strike encourages discussion.

In the cinema: THE PORTRAIT OF DORIAN GRAY

The literary classic by Oscar Wilde becomes an effective horror movie in this film adaptation.

London, late 19th century: The inexperienced Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes) comes from the countryside to the big city and attracts the attention of the local society by his extremely attractive appearance. Above all, the gay painter Basil Hallward (Ben Chaplin) is fascinated and captivates Dorian's unique charisma in a portrait. Even a nicer innocence than Ben Barnes is currently not to be found, and the degenerate soul behind it, he plays with every hair tip.

Watch out for Oscar Wilde lovers: This is not a movie for fans of the light social comedy, but a pleasantly old-fashioned scary movie with a goosebump guarantee!
