Review of the Blogfamilia 2016: Award of the Blogfamilia Award

Mom and dad blogs are entertaining, informative, relieving - and often damn funny. But they are also: political and relevant. For what would our society be without its families? They shape the way we live together in their colorful diversity, they are the germ of commitment, attitude and debate. And parents blogger crank these discussions on the net.

The fact that these debates can also become tangible social commitment has been shared by the Blogfamilia network yesterday Presentation of the 1st Blogfamilia Award shown.

125 bloggers who came to Berlin for Germany's largest, independent parental blogger conference gave their votes. Nominated were three projects and their coordinators who volunteer for refugees - a topic that of course also the parent bloggers umtreibt.

Blogfamilia Award 2016 - these are the winners:

The 1st prize got Märry Raufuss (Marie Jordan)who writes the blog Kalinchens.de and Petra Hamacher from the blog All kinds of topics. The two maintain and coordinate the group # BloggerfürFlüchtlinge, # BloggerfürFlüchtlinge is an association of bloggers and media professionals, which was launched last year, and has already generated around 152,000 euros in donations through calls and contributions to the internet. The money benefits various projects that support refugees.

The second prize went to Lisa Harmann from the blog City Land Mama for her commitment to refugees from Cologne and the admission of a refugee family to her home, which has inspired many people. And also blogger Lucie Marshall from Berlin has not only taken in a refugee family and written about it, but also the association "Be An Angel e.V." co-founded, who works for the refugee aid in Berlin. She received the 3rd prize, which her contender Andreas Toelke accepted at the Blogfamilia.

Each individual can do something and use his voice

"2015 was also a moving year for us Elternblogger, which we worked together better than alone. With the award we acknowledge this commitment and encourage our community to become more involved in social issues, "says Anne-Luise Kitzerow, co-founder of Blogfamilia and blogger at Grossekoepfe.de.

"The people who come here are part of our society, and it is our duty to help them," says 25-year-old Märry Raufuss, who has a daughter. "After all, I want to be supported just as much when I'm not feeling well."

Also for Lisa Harmann her commitment is a matter of course. "I do not see what I did as work or volunteer work, I just wanted to help," says the 34-year-old mother of three children. She hopes that the prize will also inspire other people to work for refugees as much as they can. "We show that you can make a difference without bureaucracy, clubs and other hurdles."

For the winners, it was impressive to see how the community of parent bloggers on the subject of refugees outgrowed itself. "We are already a big family anyway, but last year we all grew even closer together," says Märry Raufuss.

As a prize, the bloggers received 400, 250 and 100 euros as well as products of the Blogfamilia sponsor ASUS. The money will also be donated again for refugees.

About Blogfamilia:

Launched as a blogger conference, Blogfamilia has evolved into a key facilitator between family bloggers, institutions and businesses. "Blogfamilia stands for exchange of experience and opinions, for networking and further education, we want to share knowledge and make it freely accessible," says Janni Orfanidis, co-organizer of the conference, blogger and communication consultant. Guntermann GmbH.

More than 100 bloggers took part in the second big congress in Berlin this time - and like last time the participation was free. An important point is the family friendliness: For bloggers who wanted or had to bring their children, there was also a child care this year so that the parents could also use all the workshops, lectures and networking opportunities.

We from the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde MOM with the big blog collection MOM Blogs were involved as media partner of the Blogfamilia.

Review:

> Blogfamilia meets VG word, November 2015

Royalties for written texts - that's what VG Wort cares about, and that's also very interesting for bloggers. The Blogfamilia invited 50 bloggers to an exclusive presentation in November.

What do parent bloggers really want? Survey results of the Blogfamilia

Parent blogs are often ridiculed as nappy and craft content, while playing an increasingly important role in public debates and in the marketing of companies.

Blogfamilia, the first corporate-independent conference designed specifically for parent bloggers, wanted to use a survey to find out how the heterogeneous blog universe really works. What are the prevailing topics? What moves parent bloggers? And do you want to earn money or pursue your hobby?

The results of the survey

267 bloggers participated in the anonymous survey. Here are some interesting numbers in the infographic:

More generalists than specialists

The survey results show: With 83 percent everyday experiences are the substantive thread of the blogger scene. It goes without saying that blogging is a hobby for two-thirds of respondents (66 percent). In addition to general blogs, there are also specialized ones, such as educational educators (41.3 percent) and DIY topics (31.5 percent). Only 23 percent of the respondents see themselves as mere guidebook portals.

Under parents? Cooperation instead of competition

Blogging parents seek an exchange about their life situation: they want to find like-minded people (64 percent) and provide insights into their family life (59 percent).

Family bloggers are already well connected; Facebook plays the most important role, but Twitter also has a surprisingly high penetration rate (65%). One in four uses messenger services like Whatsapp or SMS.

Despite the good wire among themselves, 94 percent of respondents want an even closer together.

How bloggers make money

Nearly half of the respondents also want to earn money with blogging (44.8 percent). Almost 60 percent of all respondents have already worked with companies. When selecting cooperation partners, they prefer to become active themselves rather than attracting the attention of companies. Exactly 50 percent have already approached companies with ideas.

One third of the bloggers can be paid in value, around half ask for cooperations between 100 and 200 euros.

Blogs that are open to corporate offerings are preferred product testing (70 percent) as a form of cooperation. Sponsored Posts or Native Advertising lie with 55 percent in second place. The classic Contest is also ahead of the blogger favor with 48.2 percent.

Credibility is important

The survey shows that many bloggers cautiously handle inquiries, firstly because they know little about the price, size, and value of their own blog. But it's also about authenticity: Especially in the field of family matters credibility is important. This is also the difficulty for companies and agencies. These must pick up every blogger where he is. They should not underestimate bloggers: Due to the strong networking dubious inquiries are quickly exposed.

Conclusion: heterogeneous blogosphere? no uniformity

"The results of our survey make it clear that parents' bloggers are much more than 'just' wraps advisors. The high level of networking offers enormous potential for training and entrepreneurial development. Here the journey is far from over," Janni Orfanidis emphasizes. Guntermann GmbH, who conducted the survey for Blogfamilia.

"The survey has helped us to better understand our community and will respond to the needs identified in the survey and provide important new momentum in its conferences."

Interview with Alu Kitzerow about the first Blogfamilia meeting 2015

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde MOM: The mood at the first blogfamily in Berlin was already great. How satisfied are you with the course of the meeting?

Al Kitzerov: Super happy, but to organize an event with 50 participants is also very exhausting. I felt like after a huge children's birthday - completely done. But I think it was a very good start, the main thing was to see each other offline and get to know each other.

In networking parents blogger are anyway unbeatable, I have the impression. Does not the exchange take place long ago?

Of course, and there are also parents bloggers who meet regularly at events. But these are often dates that are initiated by companies that are more interested in product ideas than in blogging itself. It is also a relatively small group that is regularly invited. Bloggers with a small reach are hard to come by. That's why we explicitly opened the Blogfamilia for all bloggers and kept them free from product introductions.

What does the Blogfamilia offer beyond networking?

We also want to give the bloggers the opportunity to further their professional education. The first meeting in May featured talks on photography, ethics in social networks and increasing professionalism among bloggers. And so, in the future, we want to continue discussing topics that affect most bloggers, developing them together and learning from each other. Our hope is that this will create a kind of shared blogger etiquette.

Further education - that's what the blog family was about.

What is the feedback from the participants?

We have received mostly positive feedback from the bloggers. Many were enthusiastic about the lectures and were able to implement some tips, for example for photographing, directly. They all want more meetings, at least once a year.

With the re: publica there is already a big conference for blogger topics. Why do you think the parent bloggers need their own event?

As a re: publica-goer, Susanne Mierau and I were disturbed that the needs of parents are not really addressed. Although there is a playground for children, but without proper care. This means that many parents can not attend events from a certain time, or have to take their children, which is not ideal. As a result, bloggers with children have always been marginalized in the past. We wanted to show with the Blogfamilia that it is possible to offer such a conference also with childcare.

So the parents' bloggers did not feel so taken seriously so far?

It's true that parent bloggers are quickly put into a 'baby chichi corner'. The parents' blogs have a high political significance. Many current discussions that are socially relevant are initiated and discussed there - be it on the compatibility of work and family life, family structures, rainbow families or health policy topics. And the parents' bloggers make a huge contribution to the blogosphere in Germany, which is another reason why we want to get them out of the niche.

For many parents bloggers, the hobby has long since become a profession.

Yes, the development that has been around for a long time among fashion bloggers has now reached the parents bloggers as well. Some bloggers who have been with the Blogfamilia are already living on it. I think that there is a big development happening on the net in general, because the PR strategists of companies have discovered the bloggers. With their large reach and their attractive target group, namely other parents, the parent blogs are very interesting for the companies. And they are versatile - parent bloggers can also fashion, they can food, DIY, education, humor and so on. The companies try to take advantage of this and to place their products according to the blogs, be it through cooperation or advertising.

Does that also bring problems?

I think that the gap between private and professionalized blogs is getting bigger and bigger. That is another reason why we have created the Blogfamilia: to enable a broad exchange and to prevent some blogs from being hung up. Our network should help to meet the requests of companies professionally and in conjunction with the other bloggers. It also needs to be clarified how to make cooperation more interesting - for the companies and bloggers, but also, of course, for the readers.

What are your next plans?

Next, we want to build a patents system that will help new bloggers get started. And of course we are planning another meeting. This should take place next year and be even bigger, with more lectures and more participants. We are full of ideas and are now looking for other sponsors who help us to implement them.

We are looking forward to it - thank you!
