Amorous Commissioner in jail - the new "police call"

What's the matter?

To young offenders and suicides. And teenagers in love, um, officials and violence. Chief Inspector Hanns von Meuffels (Matthias Brandt) is ordered to a correctional facility to question a murderer. Meuffel's police officer Marcel Oberpriller (Andreas Lust) is on hand for his investigation, who himself has a problem of violence and a preference for porn.

In the prison, the chief inspector meets not only young offenders, but also department head Karen Wagner (Sandra Hüller) and his old school friend and psychologist Max Steiner ("crime scene" commissioner Axel Milberg), who treats violent young people. There is a crackling between Wagner and Meuffels, but the chief inspector is struck by the feeling that his adored one might know more about the suicides: Nine young people are said to have died in the prison over the last two years. And director Wagner also behaves so funny ...

What is it really about?

To violence. And for trust.

What is good?

Everything! The actors! The characters! Exciting! And who loves Gustav Mahler, will be especially happy.

Is there something to moan about?

Here a shy look, there an embarrassed sentence - and suddenly we find ourselves in the midst of amorous teenagers (without the giggling). At least it feels so sometimes for the viewer. The limit of embarrassment must be high, so as not to blush in front of the TV, when we watch from Meuffels and Wagner, as they sneak around each other. But it is beautiful too. Two elderly people having a little romance. Spring fever in late summer! Hach!

The first sentence:

"Mr. Meuffels, right?" The prosecutor says: "If you can not do it, nobody will." We are not so sure about that. After all, the German TV crime scene also has a few other good commissioners to offer. But we think: Mr. von Meuffels is doing that pretty well again.

The last sentence:

"Tell me, are you crying, Herr von Meuffels? Let it out." Well, what happened? Bitter tears? Lucky tears, because life could not be more beautiful? We learn that only at the end.

Is this "police call" realistic?

Two people get to know each other at work and fall in love. Is this realistic? Absolute! Violent young people, intrigue, suicide - all these things are there, unfortunately.

Is it worth switching on?

Absolute! "Dawn" is an exciting thriller that gives hope for really good, new films as a prelude to the new Sunday evening crime season. Now the "crime scene" has to reload on August 31st. We are curious!
